Regency saw a move away from elaborate and costly ornamentation towards more
classical Egyptian and Greek inspired elements. Signature details of the period focused
on architectural structure and proportion including fluted columns and moulded cornices. All
created a refined elegance which was key to the period.
The nature of Regency styling is such that its unique sense of proportion allows in to transcend
time and create a look is so relevant to today.
